Health Education & NCD Prevention
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and some cancers are a growing problem in Tanzania. Many of them can be prevented through healthy eating, regular physical activity, avoiding tobacco and limiting alcohol.
We run health education sessions in communities, schools and religious gatherings, covering:
- Healthy diet and physical activity
- Recognising early signs of NCDs
- Hand washing, safe water and sanitation
- Where and when to seek medical care
Your donation helps pay for: trained facilitators, teaching materials, venue costs and follow-up visits.
